The pads are poorly designed and not well thought out. The wings come off quickly and everything gets crumpled, consequently providing poor leakage protection. The soft pads are comfortable and don't feel like plastic. However, I was not pleased with the cotton ball itself. It seems to have shifted slightly and it's causing discomfort. I constantly feel like it might leak.
