My husband is ecstatic about it, although I find it bothersome due to a certain note. However, we were advised to wear it specifically in intense heat, and that's when it truly comes alive.

As for the scent, for me, it is a kind of coffee and cream with almond crumbs and coconut. It is wonderful, very cozy, warm, and delicate. I still have a bottle from 2013, and the scent is identical. I have read many reviews saying that it is simpler now, that it used to be better, etc. Maybe in the distant year of 1998 it was, but it is unlikely that we will have the opportunity to compare. The scent is definitely sweet, but in moderation, not overpowering. Like a warm cashmere scarf.

It lifts your mood in damp weather. I consider it perfect for brunettes. It's genuinely like poison. Alongside it, but to a lesser extent, I also love Lancome Tresor La Nuit, even though they are completely different.

Never base your opinion on someone else's, read reviews and the more, the better, including the negative ones. I am a big fan of perfumes, including the classic ones. In my collection, I had a 30ml bottle of Hypnotic Poison, and now I have a 50ml one. However, I can't stand neither Hypnose Lancome nor Angel and Demon by Givenchy. The scent of Hypnotic Poison is a combination of almond, coconut, sandalwood, with fruity notes of apricot and plum. It also has a medicinal note that many people find off-putting. You can easily test this perfume now, so don't hesitate and do it.
