The shade 402 is a dark brown color. The pencil has a smooth texture, similar to powder, and is not hard. It glides on easily and provides intense color payoff.

I don't understand the negative reviews. I've been using this pencil for about a year. I didn't buy it from a makeup store, but this time I ordered it here. If you're used to drawing your brows completely with a marker, this pencil won't work for you. But if you need to neatly and discreetly fill in your brows, it's perfect. It's soft but doesn't crumble. Everything is as described, you can blend it with a brush and it complements your brows beautifully.
