This is an excellent pencil. It is one of the best I have ever had. It lasts the whole day and blends well. I have been using it almost every day for two months now, and there is still half of it left.

The pencil is quite soft, it draws well, and the Medium Brown color suits my dark blond hair.

The pencil itself is good, the color is not too reddish, as it sometimes happens. I have shade 36N, it has good staying power, but in my opinion, it is very soft, so I give it a 4. I received a pencil as a gift when purchasing Maybelline cosmetics. My impressions - it has a very soft gel-like texture, applies easily and comfortably, but it runs out quickly. It sets and fixes on the skin, and can only be removed with great effort. The color I received is ash brown, which is a bit dark and cool for me. However, I found the perfect use for this shade and its long-lasting effect - for defining the upper lash line, it doesn't smudge or transfer throughout the day. I tested it in winter, and I'm curious to see how it will perform in the summer.

As for sharpening - I put any soft pencils in the freezer for 15 minutes before sharpening, the lead hardens from the cold and sharpens properly. And don't be afraid of plastic pencils, they sharpen excellently, even better than wooden ones, they don't crumble, but come off in soft shavings.
