Purifying Lemongrass Toner for Oily Skin - Christina Purifying Toner for oily skin with Lemongrass
Great toner. My face doesn't feel sticky after using it. This is already my second purchase. The toner doesn't sting - that's the effect it has. The bottle says FRESH. It contains mint, which gives exactly this effect. There is alcohol in the ingredients of many toners, but it's important to check which type. Some alcohols are beneficial for our skin and don't harm it. The toner doesn't dry out my skin, it looks moisturized.
As usual, I have confirmed that reading reviews is pointless. I have previously poured Forever Young down the toilet due to its unpleasant stickiness. Now, this one will also go there. It doesn't sting at all and has a pleasant smell. But the stickiness...
It cleanses well, without leaving any stickiness. However, in my opinion, it contains a high amount of alcohol, which causes a slight tingling sensation on the face, but not too much.
The product contains alcohol as the second ingredient, which I didn't notice at first. Using it as a facial cleanser is quite powerful.
I have been using this product for two months and the alcohol content is very noticeable. When you walk past your nostrils, it's better to hold your breath because it feels like you're at a sports event. I have oily skin and it made me wonder how it's possible to have such a high amount of alcohol in a product for oily skin. It further dries out my skin! It even causes more oil to be produced. After using it, I had to apply a cream immediately because it stung a lot. I ended up throwing it away.
It is so pleasant to use, feels refreshing - amazing! And my face looks well-groomed after using it. However, if used on a long-term basis, it can dry out the skin due to its high alcohol content. I only use it for my décolletage area.
I am very satisfied with this toner. It leaves my face looking fresh and radiant, just like a juicy apple.
The tonic cleanses well and does not feel sticky. It has a slight tightening effect, which seems to be intentional. The only thing that bothers me is that either the menthol or alcohol in it initially causes a tingling sensation and a long-lasting cooling effect. In my case, I don't like this because I have to wait before applying moisturizer. (The first time I used it, I washed my face immediately because I was afraid it would burn) :)
I have been using this favorite tonic for years now.
Great toner. If skincare is done wisely, it won't dry out anything.
It's not surprising to find alcohol in a purifying toner for oily skin, but I repeat, if your skin is oily and your skincare routine is on point, it shouldn't dry out, tighten, or become greasy after use.
For those it dries out, add moisturizing masks twice a week to your routine and alternate with another toner.
The menthol is more noticeable on the skin than the alcohol, creating a characteristic cooling effect, but it doesn't last long.
It also contains chamomile extract, which is also very good.
I'm satisfied with the toner for now. I can't say it's not worth the money.
Amazing tonic! It refreshes the skin so well upon application, no other cosmetic product has given me such a feeling. Like many others, I got to know an Israeli woman named Kristina at the cosmetologist's office, and later she (the cosmetologist) sold me the Gigi tonic, claiming it was better. However, Gigi did not provide any refreshing effect at all, it turned out to be just water, and there was no effect whatsoever, so I went back to Kristina and since then we have been inseparable. The end.
P.S. I would like to try something else, but I'm scared, it's just too good!
