I lighten my hair roots with this powder using a 6% developer. My hair is wavy, porous, and of medium blonde shade. It lightens to a light-yellow color, and I tone it with C:EHKO 9/5 dye on top. The resulting color is very beautiful. Even after washing out the toner (between dyeing sessions), my hair doesn't look as yellow as when I dye it with just dye (without pre-lightening with powder). It doesn't damage my hair.
